Question about PPC programs for publishers

This is the best place I could find to place this. My question is from the publisher's side of things. I work on a site that is currently using AdSense, but am looking into other possibilities. I have looked at old threads to get some ideas, but now I'm at the point I have to ask the question.

    A little background:

The site I work on is a job posting/application site. The vast majority of ads that we get are other job posting sites. On the one hand, that could take people out of our site for things we offer. On the other hand, the jobs we offer are in a specific market that we essentially have a stranglehold on. Most ads for jobs in our market that can be found on other sites direct people back to our site.

Even though traffic is not really being diverted, I think we might do better if the ads we served were not targeted so well (or were targeted to related needs such as housing). We are working on using the target tags to hone the ads. We just started, so we haven't done much with placement (but there are plans in the works).

    The meat and potatoes:

I am not really asking about AdSense here (I'll put that in another thread), but I wanted to give as much background as possible to get the best responses. We are looking at other PPC campaigns to see whether they might earn better and serve better ads to our users. I am currently looking at YPN and AdBrite. It's my understanding that neither are targeted as well as Google, and that might be good.

One thing of note, it is very important that we have control over blocking ads and that certain types of ads NEVER show up (adult content, illegal substances, etc...).

    1) What other campaigns should I look into?

    2) Are there any campaigns that allow you to target other keywords than what is on your site?

    3) What non-contextual campaigns might meet these needs?

I know most, if not all, of these will pay less than Google (with the possible exception of YPN), but the theory is that if we serve ads that will interest people more, that will make up the difference.

    Thanks for your input.

    If you mean companies
1)YPN, MSN adcenter, and my PPC that is coming out PM me for details
    2) Sure. Try keyword based PPC's. In Clicksor or in my PPC, give them unrelated keywords
    3)Sure, in mine and Clicksors
all you have to do is give keywords that aren't related to your topic

I think I'll stay away from clicksor as I've read that it sometimes displays adult content (even with the filter). That would be extremely bad for our sight.
