I have an ebook about affiliate marketing that I am thinking about selling. I have a question though. How often do people buy the ebook and then share it with others through pms, or turn around and claim the ebook as there own and sell it themselves? Basically...is this really a good place to sell an ebook, or will I just end up spreading it to have the forum even though I only make a few sales? And I'm sorry for posting it here and not in the buying/selling board, but I don't have an old enough account to post there.
Books do get shared, but you have to remember that most people don't know about forums and torrents. That being said, I have heard about a program that generates a unique password for each computer the book is placed on. So if I buy your book I'd get a random password to open it. And then if I emailed a copy of it to my friend, my password wouldn't work on his computer, so he'd HAVE to buy another copy of it and get a new password if he wanted to read it. Unfortunately, I don't know anything other than that. The topic came up on another forum but no one was interested in it.
Hmm...that is very interesting. I really need to look into that. Of course, I guess people would really just end up rewriting it anyway if they were planning on selling it as their own. But it would cut down on simple sharing.
HI Why not make a site to sell it from and post it on sites like clickbank.com or paydotcom.com to get affiliates to promote it for you.. offer a rebanded version with resale rights. let people rebrand it with their own affiliate links for a small fee.. Tom
