Say I post a thread requesting a service and lots of people pm me. Then a week later I want the same thing again. How would I bump the thread without making it look like I am bumping it for wrong reasons? I could just post another thread asking for the same thing, but I think that is frowned apon as well.
Regular members can bump their thread after one month and premium members can bump after 7 days using bump feature. DON.
...and after I use my 1 bump/30 days I can't bump my thread any other way? It doesn't make sense that regular forum members can't bump their threads that are popular through pm. People don't seem to write in the thread and because pm's don't bump threads the post drops down the list - Even if it was a popular. The only reason the thread becomes less popular is because as time passes new threads replace it at the top.
Become a premium member Every 7 days. Also, I believe Shawn is going to create a paid bumping system (I don't know exactly when) for users to purchase additional bumps for threads. Keep in mind, a general rule is that you cannot post twice in a row. Doing so might be considered bumping.
I think he had said that its not possible unless VB does something about it in their next update or something like that.
hey shawn, as you know, regular members can only bump once per month, so if people only reply to the thread via pm it is not automatically bumped. If you want to ask for something again you either have to create a new post or write in the thread to bump it.
