Question about possible TOS breaking with new site idea...

Ok, so my g/f and I were talking the other day and decided to come up with a new site related to BDSM. It would basically be a reference site that explains how to do things and what it's all about.

There wouldn't be any pictures or videos of the stuff taking place, just a resource for people (if you look now, most of the sites are from the late 90's and look really crappy).

I don't know if adsense would cancel my account if I put some ads up on this site. Does anyone know if something like this would be breaking the adsense TOS?

Not sure if it's against the TOS, but it would be humorous to see what ads you get served.

    "Leatherworking Supplies"
    "Heavy Duty Chains and Hooks"
    "Scary Ringtones"

I think it would still be considered mature content, but in doubt fire an email to adsense support.

It will definitely fall in the category of Mature content (thus being against ToS). The best thing however would be to e-mail Google and get it directly from them if something like this would be allowed or not.

I'm not sure, it's a possibility. I guess we would have to probably go another route as far as running ads goes.

Let me rephrase my original "scrap it" comment. Yes, using Adsense with this is a bad idea, but there are plenty of other ad programs for you. If the site takes off, you could make a lot of money by selling ads, using Adbrite, Clicksor, or any number of CPM banner networks. So, while Adsense won't be your income, there are plenty of choices to choose from.
