Okay, friends, this may sound really noObish. But I have to ask this. Recently, I bought a new computer system. It came up with an intel mother board, which only have 1 PCI-X slot. I have nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512mb video Card, but I want to add one more graphic card (8800 GT), but the problem is that there's only "1" PCI-X slot. Is there any way to add two graphic cards, without changing or buying a new mother board? Any suggestions?? Thanks!
no , u can't add another graphics card on ur existing motherboard, because it doesn't have another PCI E slot However u can buy a motherboard with SLi technology, which has got 2 PCI E X16 slots which will allow u to add both the cards
You need another PCI express slot. This is why you should always check things like this before buying. I'd of bought an 8800 GTS (which I will be doing )
It's Already SLI ready though. I should've bought 8800GT in the first place, Now I'll have to buy another graphic card. *Off to sell my 8600 GT on ebay *
just buy a new motherboard made by gigabyte it has 2 slots for video card can read the 8800gt. 8gb for the ram. viola!!!!!!
