Feedback Question about Negative feedback - does anyone(admins) check "report bad rating"

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Andrus, May 4, 2010.

Recently I got a negative feedback from a buyer who made a buy it now bid on one of my auctions. He never answered my messages and with no reason left me a negative comment calling me a scammer.

    Today the guy is banned:

If someone is banned wouldn't it make sense that the feedback he has left is also deleted?

Better yet, why don't admins check complaints about feedback left by sellers/buyers?(there is a button "report bad rating", but I think no one checks these reports).

Just because a member is banned does not automatically mean member is untruthful or a scammer. Members are banned for many reasons. Most bans are the results of members not reading and following the rules/guidelines stated in the FAQ.

agree, but what about my second question on "report bad rating". At the moment you can leave a negative feedback to anyone and it seems no one will do a thing about it even if the person did not deserve it.

Mods/admins do not have subpoena power It is next to impossible to get to the bottom of a dispute.

So the button next to feedback has no real value and if I get a negative feedback there's nothing I can do about it?

@Andrus...... the problem you have mentioned is a genuine one, but i think there would be no answer from the admin (especially the reply you would love to hear) except you can leave an itrade to that person as well.
I am a victim of that issue you have raised, a guy with a 0 itrade, with only 20-30 posts left me a negative itrade, and i can give all the proofs within the Dp that i dont deserve that, hence no one listen, i got 75+ itrade, but due to that one negative itrade, i never be able to achieve a 100% positive feedback ever.

Surely admins have their hands tied and they can't probably do it, but I am sure side owners/managers could do more.
I am new here and this experience really makes me want to leave if I cant solve this.

I also like to hear from the mods about this kind of issue. I met many scammers in DP who never pays for our service.
I never gave an iTrader fearing that they will also give back -ve iTraders without any cause. I am sure there are many users like me who are afraid of giving -ve iTraders. The frauds have fake profile and dont care about it. But if they leave one -ve feedback and run away, it will affect all our future trades in BST.
    Any solution from moderators?

I think the answer is "no"

I have had a bad experience with a member here - want to leave a neg but he will just do the same, so what is the point?

Even I would like to know this answer from moderators. They must do something to prevent this kind of inconvenience. I admit it is impossible to go to the root of dispute but is not it quite annoying when you get a -ve rating for no reason and you can't do anything?
