Question about my Meta Keywords

    Hello!

I have a doubt:When I am creating the META keywords for my site, I write each keyword sepparated by a comma, but there are some "key-phrases" with more than one word.

for example: My website is about Hotels in Europe.

My keywords are: accomodation, hotel, hotels, vacation, leisure, etc.

I don't know what should I do with keywords like: "hotels in Europe", "Hotel accomodation", Where to stay in Europe", etc.

Those "key-phrases" should be also separated by a comma or they will count , for instance "hotels in europe" like: hotels+in+europe ?

    Do you understand?

    Regards,

    Chewie.

Personaly if i was targeting "Hotels in Europe" i would use the phrase "hotels Europe" as the word "in" is seen as a stop word.

Chewie, post your URL and I will take a quick look at what you have there already. Just by reading your selected keywords, and can see that you will struggle with organic searches.

Example, keyword "accommodation" is searched approximately 89,497 times a month but returns 110,000,000 results. However if you drill down and specify "hotel accommodation" it is searched 16,266 and only returns 39,100,000 results. Drilling down even further and specifying Europe will make it easier to climb the SE rankings and thereby providing you with "qualified" customers.

Either way you can use keywords = hotel accommodations, hotel accommodations europe, vacations europe, etc." just try not to repeat too many words or you could get a penalty for keyword stuffing.

Since the major SE no longer use this meta tag, don't worry about it.

I enter phrases only seperated by a comma.

As for the issue of "In" as a stop word, it is. To over ride this, use the following "In-Europe". The hyphen is intrupeted by the SEs as a space.

Unless you specifically target misspelled keywords, you should spell 'accommodation' with double c and double m. Unless you target an American audience, you should replace 'vacation' with 'holiday'.

    thanks!

I will take into consideration all your suggestions.

And yes, As rajajang said, I am asking about the keywords with more than one word: "Hotels in Europe" for instance.

Make sure that the meta words, the title, and the content correlate since this is one of the things that SE rank with in combo, at least they used to :)
