Question about my blog...

I have a few questions if anyone would consider inputting if your experienced in these types of things.

1.) I opened a blog about 3-4 months ago. It currently gets about 300 uniques (SE) a day or so. I was wondering if I offered free accounts on my site to allow others to blog, if this might seem like a good idea? The only thing I am concerned about is if offering free accounts would not be appealing. It would help with adding more content to my IT (community) website, and the only thing I would have to watch for is abusive issues. What do you think about this idea? Do you think it would be something IT/Computer related bloggers might be interested even though theirs other free sites out there? The only ads running on the community website is 4 adsense text links on the smaller right pane. Maybe I could offer trusted posters a free webhosting account on my server?

2.) I work as a Server Administrator/Help Desk Technician for a fairly large webhost with about 25-35 enterprise grade shared servers, about 40 dedicated, and a handful of VPS's. These servers are running on CentOS 5, Apache, W/cPanel/WHM. I was wondering if anyone thinks I could make any money or pick up any side work doing dedicated server management or similar type of work? This would be nice for me as I work 12 hour shifts all weekend at night and it's very slow. This would give me something to do while I'm not that busy while earning a little extra cash. My concern with his is, will I be forced to work for such a low wage because of outsourcing to 3rd world countries? I sure wouldn't want to offer the world for a small amount of money not worth my time and efforts :/

Thanks to all who do respond to this. I will be checking up on it. I apologize if this seems to be in the wrong category but I'm kind of limited with where I can post until my account gets older.

    Regards,
