Okay, I know that having one-way links are the best thing for a website so I submitted my site to a bunch of directories. But now when I check links to my site in Yahoo Site Explorer, there is like 400 coming from 1 directory. It's kinda making me nervous. I don't want google and other search engines to think that my site is a directory because it's not. So my question is, Is this okay? and if it's not, what can I do to fix this? this is the link http://www.islandgoodies.net Any relevant input is welcome. Thanks.
Hi, High pr links will help in boosting your serp results in google and other search engines. If you are looking for high pr links, then contact me at - texasddc at gmail dot com.
Google count's only unique links and that too PR links are of high importance... Sitewide link from one or two websites will not do any harm to your sites...
What if my company is sponsoring few websites and gets a sitewide link on them. Is that wrong? Do we have to put nofollow tag to our links so there will be no penalty?
Just keep up your link building and you'll be o.k. Getting a sitewide from someone every now and again doesn't hurt if the rest of your back link profile looks normal. So just keep working the directory lists, forums, blogs, and most important asking other webmasters to give you a related link.
nothing to worry about, some directories use a tagging system too, so you're link will be on 20 or 30 pages by the time it's all said and done
