I have 2 PR 5 websites. They are not monetized. They don't have much content atm (they used to) and they don't have large amounts of traffic (anymore). Google, in is wisdom, loves them though. They share the same niche, and in fact the 2 sites go hand-in-hand. Although at this stage I'm not ready to do this I have been thinking of monetizing them in the near future. (I want to build them up again first, they are potentially PR8.) What would be the best way to go about this? Would offering links on PR 5 sites for private sale be the way to go? Your thoughts and opinions are welcome. Just bear in mind I'm not offering any thing for sale just yet.
You could try Text Link Ads, TNX or other such sites to sell links. The higher the PR and traffic the more each link is worth. Just be careful to balance it out with plenty of backlinks so your PR doesn't drop. Also, you could add a CPA banner or two targeting your niche.
I would have to have more information to help you out in anyway specifically but I would say TLA, TNX, and just selling links here on DP is a way to go. Then you can also supplement this by a few affiliate links. Just be careful when selling links to make it look like you are not on your website or Google will no longer like your site as much.
Text link ads is safer for google though u have to pay so much to text link ads in commission so its worth doing it privatly. Try to integrate your sold links into your content to make them look natural.
Yeah just make sure you integrate them and don't for instance put random non-relevant links in your footer with your advertisers keywords. Google really cannot tell if they were bought or not as long as its not completely obvious. So just don't do what I said and also don't have a place in your advertising where they can purchase links just do it on places such as DP and others.
Kid, don't listen to those who tell you to sell links. They probably want to harm you. It depends on quality of your traffic. If it is good quality, use affiliate programs, if your bounce rate is high and traffic comes from random places, use Adsense. The fact that Google loves you, is an asset. Don't spoil it by selling links and doing other kinda junk!
