Hey everyone i have 7 sites and i dont use meta text or meta keywords on any of them. Should i be using them and are they necassary? If so how would i add them to my site with dreamweaver? Sorry for being such a noob
Yes, meta tags are still used by search engines, some don't use certian tags and some do. Generally it's a good rule of thumb just to use them.
add atleast meta titel and decp.just se any website source code how they added tags on top and u add your revelant info.
you can take meta-tags... and place in your website no need of re-designing... and ofcourse yes meta-tags are important...
you should place important meta tags like Keywords and Description. Google don't look for them, however, smaller search engines look for them
If you want to target different search engines, you can put your own Metas since some SEs still considers Meta tags like Yahoo, MSN and others..
Do not neglect meta's. It can really help your site to give an extra information to SE's. Additional to that, it also helps the user on where and what page you are viewing.
actually there's nothing difference putting Meta description on your site for GG doesn't depend with meta description, they snippet phrases inside the content of your site. for more accurate searching. but. i must consider putting H1
Are you crazy? Google will use your meta tag description as your search results text, only when it isn't availible does it pull content from the page. Also, if your spamming in the description it will pull content from the page.
