    Hi,

I was wondering, if someone can tell me, if it will make a big difference, using a colon to separate your keywords in the description meta tag.

    Example: widget 1 : widget 2

It would not be a fruitful technique of using colon in between the words as it can be considered as a black hat technique.

Depends if you have sentence that needs a colon, but it is recomended to have all your keywords in one sentence without colon.

Yep that’s absolutely true. Meta tags don’t have the same significance it used to have in the past and can be ignored as there are other important things to do in SEO.
