Question about marketing community site

HI,

I am thinking of starting a community driven site, which will aim to encourage users to submit various content to augment the admin submitted ones. To advertise this, I was thinking of using offline advertising, fliers though doors, newspapers etc. And my question is, is this a method that could work, and is advisable?

HI Jake, In My Opinion, its a good method. give the news paper ads, business cards, flyers and also don't forget online methods.

 

Thanks, of course I wasn't planning a totally offline method, but I was thinking that word of mouth bonuses from offline methods in a smallish city like mine would be very beneficial
