Hello, I'm new here and not that smart when it comes to this sort of thing. My question is about the page ranks of websites your linked on. Is it the general page rank of the website you are on that counts or is it the actual <I>page</I> that you are linked on that counts ie. the links page? Sorry if this is commonly asked!
Yes, it's the page your link is posted on that counts. Keep in mind that the toolbar PageRank is outdated and not an accurate picture of the current PageRank.
The page that your link is on is what is counted or "valued" by Google, MSN, Yahoo etc.. Several things are looked at to make up the value. Page content and title (is it relevant to your site?). Inbound links for that page (are they relevant?). Outbound links for that page (are they pointing to relevant pages?). All things considered such as that. Col
There are more factors than these. The PR of the DOMAIN linking to you also counts, as well as the quality of links linking to that site also count. Therefore, focus on relevance is more important than focus on PR.
