Hello DP guys. I have a question about Links. How do you guys build links? And how do u get them indexed? I'm really curious about this thing. Whenever I post a comment or article with my link, do I need to do anything to give Search Engine a signal about the link? Sorry for Noob question.
I do not ping, I think it looks more natural when you let the search engines crawl for your site vs telling them that you have new content or links. As far as building links, there are so many ways you can do this. Article marketing pointing back to your site, directories, forums, social bookmarking, video marketing, etc. All of these give links pointing back to your site and, little by little, give you better ranking in the search engines.
Yes, as Odlanor has said, creating unique content and then publishing the content on article directories are an amazoing way to increase Links. Every article you create on Squidoo or Hubpages is a back-link. As for indexing them, Squidoo has an outstanding time ratio from the moment you publish a Lens(article) to the time you see it indexed with the leading web engines
I posted comments on a few blogs with my link a few days back, but I check backlinks to my site, I see no links at all while the links are still there on blogs, they are dofollow blogs.
Some of the techniques through which you can get the back link Forum Posting. Blog Commenting. Book Marking. Directory Submission. Link Wheel. Press Release. RSS feeds. To index the back link you have to ping the URL of the post or comment . So it will help you to get indexed very first
Same to me, I got 500 backlinks last week but google webmaster tools is not showing one of the links...
I think, there is no need to ping anything. If you update your website regularly then no need to ping website.SEs does automatically index your website at mean time.So you should keep focus on quality link building work and build only do follow, high PR and relevant backlinks. Thanks
You can also try submitting your sites to various niche directories as links from relevant sources are valued in high esteem by search engines. Apart from this blog commenting, guest blogging, forum posting, press releases, paid directory submissions, social bookmarking are some of the ways to build quality SEO friendly backlinks.
There are so many ways to build link such as blog walking, forum poster, etc.. If you are have much money, buy backlink service or buy software that very expensive but not worth with what you get.. Another ways is to write at article directory, I have one below.
Ya when your aticle got published , then just get your published article bookmark and do further submission in good quality site.
Forum Posting. Blog Commenting. Book Marking. Directory Submission. Link Wheel. Press Release. RSS feeds & more
The best way to get links is to attract them naturally. No other sort of link can replace the ones you get from people who genuinely want to share links to your content because it's robust, engaging content. If you really want to add to the natural links you're getting, then you can start with a few high PR relevant directories, although as so many have said... Google doesn't pay much attention to the typical 'spammy' types of links that most people "build". Another way to go about it is 'dead link building'. SEO Moz has a great article about that, just go over there and check it out if you want to learn more.
The answer is carefully. Whatever method you use try and make it look as natural as possible. Most people rush the process and end up getting penalized. Get some good high PR dofollow blog list and post to the blogs on it and watch your SERP rise.
Thanks everybody for valuable suggestions. I was wondering why my backlinks are not showing up, now I realize it takes some times for Search Engines to crawl different sites, I added my site into webmaster tools and realized that Google Bot crawls the websites randomly. Lets see how my first campaign get the ranking.
Squidoo lenses must be featured or the lens will have noindex and nofollow tags. Also hubpages has default no follow links.
Squidoo is good because it has high page rank and you are indexed quickly, if you done good keyword research, you can be easly on first position on google with squidoo lens, if you have own site use advices from previous posts. (article marketing, blog posts, rss, social bookmarking...)
no need to give anything to search engines, it will be done automatically, Google will take care of your links. as soon as the page is cached by Google your link will be a valuable link.
