Question about link ads

    I notice that when you click on adsense link ads in a site, several text ads will appear.
    So in order to count as paid click, do visitors need to click on these text ads that appear after clicking on the link ads...
    Or just merely clicking on the link ads would count as paid click already.

    I am asking this because I want to know if its a good idea to put link ads in addition to text ads in your site.

    The visitor has to click on the physical ad for it to count.
