Hi. I just started few weeks ago to study about affiliate marketing, and I know I need a website, and a domain and of course some traffic in order to sale. But there is something I don't understand. If i'm building a website, and let's say i'm using optimize press theme and my site looks pretty good, so why not to promote the link i'm receiving from the promoter which is probably way better and well designed? It could save me a lot of effort. Please help me with this, i'm sure there's something wrong with my thinking I just couldn't find the answer. Thanks.
Try to explain (be descriptive) on what your problems is, from your post it is not very clear what makes problem/misunderstanding to you
You could do that if you wanted to. Some people just prefer creating their own site because they believe they can add a better sales copy or something of the sort. They can also track their traffic better with their own site etc.
You can certainly do that. You could sign up with 7search for example and direct link to peerfly and maxbounty offers for example. But it still takes ALOT of work to optimize your campaigns and make them profitable. But if you have a website and and optimize press, why not signup for aweber ( or any auto responder ) and capture those leads and keep them. This way, you have the ability to create an email series and market to them again and again. Be warned though, send your subs some good content or they will ignore you. Good Luck!
So if I understand correctly it's better to make a website of my own just for collecting e-mails of customers, and to follow my traffic so I can know if that offer i'm promoting is profitable. Basically, the website i'm building suppose to be with content and then a banner to the offer i'm promoting, right ?
Not better necessarily but I'm a fan of building a list of interested subscribers. Think about this. Lets say you go to a website and you look at something and you hit the back button. That site has lost you forever most likely. But if they asked you to leave your email in return for a gift of some kind(e-book or whatever...) then you may do so. They can email you again and again with things you are interested in.
I agree. Do you add the possibility to enter an e-mail in every land page you make ? I mean let's say that I want to promote for example a bingo game, i'm suppose to build my own site and explaining about that bingo game, and to add their banner ?
So in that instance what I might do is this - I might put together an e-book or buy a PLR book ( prefer to do it yourself at least the first time...) about 'bingo strategies'. Then I would try and build some traffic around that subject. The I would give that away as enticement for people to add to my list. Yes, I would either have a signup form on the sidebar of every blog post, OR when they first visit throw up a popup asking them for name/email. Then once they are on the list, talk more about those great free bingo strategies, while also mentioning the product or service about bingo that you have to offer. Then, I would find MORE digital products related to bingo ( or gaming perhaps )and continue to sell those, along with good FREE content, in my auto-responder. Rinse-repeat.
Sounds good. I just need to make my customers stay longer in my site, and give them a good reason to enter their e-mails. Your response help me a lot, thank you.
There are 2 reasons to send people to your website BEFORE sending them to a sales page. First of all you can pre-sell people. For instance if you have used the product you can highlight your experiences, how you benefited from it etc. This will make it more likely that the user will sign up for the product you are promoting. Another reason is that you can build an email list by giving away a report, course etc. This way you can email the offer to your list. I know studies have shown that most people do not buy right away. It sometimes takes a week to many weeks before they end up shelling out money for a product. This way if you are emailing your list every couple days or a a few times a week you can be building a relationship with your list and instill confidence in them. They will respect your feedback and when you recommend the product they are more likely to buy. You can also incorporate both ideas above and once you get them onto your list, have them forward to the landing page.
Thank you my friend, I will use your advice. At first I want to try some "easy" offers like letting the users to enter their e-mails and that's it. Just to see how this CPA works, and then I will go to the big league
Many marketers gives you a landing page template already designed and tested that converts potential customers into paying clients. All you have to do is use it to promote their products or services. All you need to do is buy a domain name and you are in business. Everything else is given to you. You don't need to desined anything. All the hard work is done already for you. The only thing that you need, once you buy the domain name, is drive traffic to your site. Once that traffic is at your site, whoever buys from you, is sent to the site of the product owner who you promote for, and if that traffic buy at site of the product owner, you get paid your commission. I hope that helps a little bit.
I am giving away a Ebook on the subject of landing pages! I hope you would like to check it out http://www.seocialise.net/go/landing-page-success-guide/
Website landing pages can be used for a couple different purposes, pay per click or marketing purposes in search engine optimization.
Direct linking to affiliate offers is something that many of the larger ad networks frown upon. Often, they claim that it provides a poor user experience with little content of value, and will often not accept your campaigns because of it. It could also ultimately result in your account being closed as well. Creating your own page(s) with unique content that also offers your links/banners is a more acceptable alternative. If the content is SEO'd properly, it also increases the likelihood of you receiving additional free organic traffic in addition to whatever paid marketing you are doing. It is really going to depend on which platform you are leaning towards advertising on.
