I am trying to get some understanding about Keywords.

Say I want to target How To Burn Dvd Movies.

So I go to google and do a search and over 5 million results.

Then I type in : "How to Burn Dvd Movies". These are all the keywords I am targeting. The average searcher is going to type in How To Burn Dvd Movies.

So does it do any good for me to target long keywords.

I hope i explasined myself ok.

    Thanks so much

You probobly want to get a membership with one of the paid keyword research sites like wordtracker, keyworddiscovery, etc. Both have a free/trial version. Another good one is aaron wall's over at seobook.

    Hi frank,

you are right, long tail keywords makes some difference in getting rank in search engines. go for some free online keyword research tools and try to pull some less competitive keywords. create internal pages with those keywords and bookmark it. most of the internet users will use long tail keywords to get the result what exactly they are searching for...

So, Using long tail keywords should help to get your site indexed top in SERP's.

    Cheers. :)
