Question about keywords

I've already chosen the keywords for my index page. I'm now doing a faq page and am wondering if I can use any of the same keywords, or is it better to have different ones?

Mostly they'll probably be different—more specific, but just wondering if any can be the same. What's best for search engine ranking?

Also how many keywords max for the keyword meta tag?

you should use your important keyword at every page that will give you better exposure on that keyword but dont overwhelm it.

If you mean the keywords for the keyword metatag - it doesn't really matter - they're one of the least important bits of seo.

The Meta Keyword tag is no longer used by the top 3. It is only needed for internal company search that still uses old methods.

You should try to use a density of 3% so it still has natural flow, and spread the keywords out using as many different ones on different pages , that gives your site better SEO.

A good thing to do is to search a list of the most used keywords and add articles to use to your site.
