You should better use that first adgroup because the keywords are in exact match so you will get more targeted leads and probably a better CTR.

Better would be putting each keyword match into it's own Campaign.

My advice is not to have different match types in the same Campaign and definately not the same Ad Group.

You want to '1 to 1' with keywords that are getting enough impressions. I.e 1 keyword to each Ad Group.

It makes life so much easier.

Do you mean per adgroup? Per campaign seems a bit excessive.

    No, per adgroup.

Obviously if you have something like 80,000 keywords in your account, then you first need to decide which are producing profit and which can be removed.

There are times when 'keyword grouping' is the best option for some adgroups as the keywords are receiving a minimal amount of impressions (compared to your account average) yet, if a keyword is generating enough impressions and clicks then it goes into it's own Ad Group.

This makes any split testing and seeing at a glance what needs changing, all the more easier.

It's the way I do it, and each to their own, but I've found it so much easier this way.
