Sometimes I make deals via PM without posting in the thread, and then after the deal is complete I'm not sure if I can leave an itrader straight away or if I should post in the thread first before leaving an itrader.

Does anyone know which is the correct way of going about it?

You must post in the thread (where you have deal) with the buyer / seller.
Then only the deal iTrader is valid.

Do not add iTrader ; if you use PM to make over deals.

TheOwner, please don't post if you don't know the correct answer.

crumblepie, no you don't need to post in the thread.

And you don't have to leave the iTrader straight away.

Consider webhosting... sure the account may be setup straight away but a week later you find you have huge downtime problems...
Or directory submissions... it takes time for the submissions to happen, receive the report and validate

Conversely, someone may pay you quickly, you deliver and then days later they do a chargeback.

Do not get bullied into leaving an itrader straight away.
