I had a question, suppose someone is selling a service in the bst, and posts that their are a couple of review copies. Then they are taken, but people keep posting in the thread or Pm'ing him about taking the review copies. is he allowed to post the number of review copies left, or make a post like, all the free review copies are gone, but the one's at 30% are taken?
Also, if someone PM's him asking about something related to the service, and it is a general question, can he post the answer in the thread, or will he receive infractions?

If you get a questions via PM, it should be answered via PM. That's to keep people from leaving out info intentionally so they can keep bumping, claiming they're getting questions via PM. It's up to them to make sure all the information they want public is in the OP, and they have an 8 hour window to edit it.

And no, you shouldn't post to update on quantities left - it's covered in the bumping sticky in the BST area. If someone chooses to offer review copies, then they do so knowing they're inviting those PMs. If we let them post updates, then people will want to post updates about everything else (like # of sales left, how much time left in an auction, etc.).
