I was wondering if getting an infraction for the following statement is really fair.

"I am very interested, please sent the traffic stats via PM" - along those lines, which I had commented on a traffic domain, not some random domain. The person claimed to get like 300 UV/day and has nothing to back it up, nor was he willing to park it even though the thread is old enough he would have had enough proof.

So I wanted to get in on a good deal, but I don't want to get scammed, so I requested traffic stats. That's a legit post, is it not...?

It was a "bumping post" infraction, and I am not trying to whine about it or anything but in case my side is correct, because from my perspective I was not bumping the thread, I mean the thread was on the first page of domains when I posted...

If I am wrong about requesting further information via PM, then I guess there will be a lot of infractions handed out. Just picking a random thread, the first 5 of only 5 replies either say to send PM with information or that they have sent a PM, the later obviously makes sense to punish though. - thread in mention: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1095651

Take some time and go read the rules, stickies, and announcements in the Buy, Sell, Trade forum and your answer will be found.
