hello, i'm new to adsense, and since clicking the ad yourself is prohbited.. how about if you make many impressions yourself? since if i put an ad on my forum, of course many impressions will be made by me. i'm not sure if this is alright:confused:

depends how many impressions you get.

if it's impressions from you building the site...well google adsense doesn't want ads on under construction sites.

you can turn off javascript as well.

you can turn it off javascript on your browser if you're worried about it. depends how much traffic you get....if you get 10 000 impressions a day and you add like 100. whatever. if you only get 1000 and 500 of those are yours, it might be an issue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you only get paid for impressions if someone is targetting their ads at your site.

i think that's true...there was a week or so on my forum where ALL the ads were about lip plumping. :p

but in the TOS it says we're not allowed to generate fradulent clicks or impressions, I believe.

If it's you doing normal browsing, I wouldn't consider that fraudulent. I don't disable JavaScript just to use my own forum here. I would get rid of AdSense ads before I had to disable JavaScript. Would mean no drop-down DHTML menus, no AJAX, etc.

The AdSense Help pages are very useful for this kind of stuff:

I agree and if it's your forum, you're most likely a mod which means you will be one of the most active users. Nothing to worry about as long as you aren't clicking the ads.
