hi members i have a question when i search for the term "james bond" google return me some results and some pictures aswell, so my name is "Waqas Tasneem" and i want to optimize and image against my name that when ever some one search on google for the keyword "waqas" my picture appears on the result page. ANYONE KNOW HOW CAN I DO THIS ?
Here are some ideas: - Make sure to include your name in the picture, you could rename it "waqas.jpg" - sometimes google will pick it up this way - In Wordpress, there is a feature that allows you to tag your photos - In the HTML tag you can include it in the tag & title. For example: <img src="image.jpg" alt="Waqas" title="Waqas"> - I read somewhere that JPG is the preferred image format for search engines so you might want to keep this in mind.
Put your name as a alt tag with your photo. Google will crawl it & you can also find your name in the search results
I believe that Google also uses the text IMMEDIATELY ahead of the pic to identify the pic - so I use the keyword in the title, in the alt text, and in bold or a header above the pic.
Using alt tags for images is the best and preferred method to achieve what you have asked for here. If the image doesn't load due to some reasons then its the alt tag which gets displayed. This will be primary reason for your ranking too
thanks all for your really nice replies, and what i think is, it can be done by submitting my picture to sites like flickr and others
rename you image with your name, use alt tag, & place the picture around the text paragraph which have your new density.
