Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I have a file and when I send it to my hotmail email and try to download it, its says this Name of File file.zipVirus Scan Result Unknown virus scanner failure Virus FoundNote: There is no cure available for the virus on the file file.zip It is not possible to download files from Hotmail that contain incurable viruses. Contact the originator of the file, inform them that the file contains a virus, and ask them to send a virus-free version of the file. But its fine in yahoo, and some other emails. Anyone know if the file does have a virus and why would the other emails say it doesnt. Also I ran my virus scanner on the file on my computer and it says no virus.
I had a similiar situation, I wanted to send something to my other email account, but then the hotmail said it had a virus...so it refused to attach the file. I scanned the file several times with 2 AVs, both said no virus...Funny
Yeah i also had that problem once. sometimes a completely normal email ends up in the junk folder, they also should work on that (i use gmail most of the time)
The junkmail problem is easily fixable by changing your junkmail settings, or adding the particular address into your contacts (automatically white-lists the address).. But for the virus thing - assuming it's a false-positive, i dont think you have any recourse. Have you tried emailing Hotmail support? IS there even a Hotmail support link or email address? now i'm curious..
yeah i know, but i have this problem when i send an email to an client who uses a hotmail account. and people dont always check there junk folder. but yeah hotmail just sucks
I had that problem. After i setup a 'senderID' SPF on my mail server, my hotmail-junkfolder issues were fixed..
