Question about Googlebot

    I noticed their bot came to my site for a 2nd times this morning. Is it normal for those bots to scan your site every couple days and it so what is it looking for? thanks

    Wow... you are new? Googlebot comes to index your site for the google search engine. It looks for a countless things that determine your rank and placement in the search results. And it can come a lot more then 2 times a day. =)

    Depends on the site popularity... some of my sites have their pages crawled everyday and some every 2-3 days...

    I have a real newbie googlebot question too

    Once you have been visited by the bots how long is it until your site gets listed in the search engines?

    It hits about 40k pages per day, i'd say. Sometimes only grabs 5k.. but usually 40-60k pages. One time over 100k in a day.

    Depends on how many you pages you have, how popular the site is.. etc..
