Question about Google Sitemaps

    Actually a few questions:
    1. How long, on average, would you say it takes Google to crawl and index a sitemap?
    2. Does resubmitting a sitemap which hasn't changed cause Google to crawl the sitemap again and update the pages?
    3. I have recently developed a few blogspot blogs, which were indexed within 3 days and then dropped a few days later. Will submitting a sitemap keep pages from being dropped?
    4. If pages are dropped, will resubmitting a sitemap cause them to be indexed again?

    Thank you for your help.

If the pages are dropped, then you should check the Google Webmaster Guidelines for any possible violations.

pages get dropped and picked back up again on a regular basis, but it's more noticeable on a new website with fewer pages. it's especially bad with blogspot, it'll get partially indexed, a few days later it's gone, a few days after that it's back.

1.) There is no exact time for Google to crawl and index a sitemap.
2.) Resubmit your sitemap if you have new pages created.
3.) Build backlinks and you may get your site indexed faster.
4.) Not quite sure, but try if you want.
