Probably not because pagerank is based on the number of sites linking to yours and not the quality of your page.
Pop-ups/unders are extremely annoying though, so even if you manage to get a high pagerank, you'll get less visitors because most people don't like browsing sites with pop-ups/unders

 

I'd avoid pop-under ads if i were you. ruins the user experience totally and they're less likely to visit your site again.

The pop under or pop up won't have any influence on your home page PR!
PR is a result of your netlinking, so basically, that comes from the outside and then you "spread" within you site's pages.

Note that the pop under/up will have it's own PR, so that's usually a bad design choice to have a pop ups. You're losing "PR", that could spread to your internal pages.

I agree, as many people think pop-under ads are annoying.

PageRank is based on the links you get. It has nothing to do with advertising, popus, etc.

 

I'd recommend getting rid of pop-ups for the user experience only - they're pretty annoying!

Can't see how they'd affect your PR though.

 

That's actually not true if the pop* is java based. Googlebot is java-blind.

 

She's right. Your PR won't be affected by such a thing but do you really prefer having a high PR over having visitors? I don't think so.

I couldn't agree more. I have yet to score a Page Rank with the google toolbar for my website, but averaging 2100 UV per day is at least bringing in some money from Adsense.

I think there is no relationship between PR and pop ups.

 

I do not think that will be a problem,pr is related to the qualtiy link to your site.
