question about google channels

    i was just wondering since i have a free multi-hosting website.should i really use ads on google that are acutally displaying websites similiar to mine offering free hosting, free image hosting aint that like actually taking business from my website.should i change my ads to display something else or not.just a little curiosity on my part.

    sure, if you're selling actual products (?) on your site, you may need to make the decision whether you'll make more money selling those products or selling clicks at $.27 a pop. but, no, you can't change the ads to display something else--that's the whole point of contextual advertising.

    What you can do, though, is ban certain URLs of direct competitors. i do that, but i have a much smaller pool of competitors to deal with. sounds like you'd have an endless project with your niche...

    Well, you want to display ads of interest to your visitors to get clicks. If your visitors come to your website looking for free-hosting, you want to have ads related to hosting.
