Question about GoDaddy and co.uk names

    Hello,

Has any forum member ever registered and "pushed" a .co.uk domain name through GoDaddy?
How was the experience? From what I know GoDaddy offers free-push between accounts. But here there could be a problem since for the co.uk domains, under the whois, GoDaddy does not appear as the registrar, but a german company, Key-Systems GmbH.

In this case, the domain receiver will be forced to pay any account owner transfer fees? (Which would be big enough, considering the co.uk domains must be registered for a 2 year period).

Can anyone help me with some answers?

Kind thanks to all of you trying to help!

Legal ownership of a UK domain name can only be transferred directly by Nominet, the UK domain registry (my company is a member/registrar of Nominet - we can only change contact details, not the "Registrant" or legal owner). Even if GoDaddy allowed a push between accounts, the legal owner wouldn't actually change.

    Thank you norfstar!
Can you further help and provide an idea/solution how can I make this the right way, without having to overcharge my client? Would not be good at all for me to change the business terms. :(
I'm in a bit of trouble I guess....

Information on how to transfer a UK domain to someone else can be found at http://www.nominet.org.uk/registrants/maintain/transfer/ - going through this procedure will make someone else the legal owner - but it won't automatically push the domain to the new owners GoDaddy account. As far as I know, GoDaddy do not have an automatic pushing facility for UK domains, so you may need to contact their technical support to have them do this.
