I have a personal blog where i write about technology and gaming. On this website i host demos of matches [not game demos just match like Quake Live demo teamA vs TeamB] recorded by the players since i couldn't find anything on the web and i saw some people here has a gaming website my question is do match demos recorded by the players or server has a copyright? thanks for the answers <3 and sorry for my bad English XD
Since you are apparently using videos that don't belong to, yes you can get in trouble for this for: * Using the video without the authors permission * Unwanted public displaying of a username with a game (as some authors may choose to only share videos with family/friends/clan/guild etc) * Trying to take the work of another person without their permission (if they have a video with tips on how to get more gold for example on a vip section of their site) * Unwanted attention that occurred from a direct cause of you showing a video with their name in it.
i will explain a bit better >p The demos are public from events everyone can download them and most of the time they get deleted after a while and i do not host vip demos or something just the public ones of matches no tips etc i saw alot of website like mine doing the same thing i researched alot on this topic but couldn't find anything.
Well then if that's the case then the above tips definitely apply as the videos that you provide can easily meet one of the warning signals listed above. Someone could be using their very own personal strategy & get pissed to find that somehow in the game they are playing... "wtf why is everyone else using my norm strategy"? and start googling for answers & seeking sources of where it could have come from.
ok thx for the advise >) well they are not forced to upload their demos they do just because they want XD.
demo is game file, not video! And if he uploaded it to public place, he don't care about that somebody will "steal" his tactics.
