question about fraud clicks

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by EvilGod, Jan 23, 2007.

    Hello Adsense Geeks,
I am new to adsense and have one question. In my workplace ie. office all computers have public IP and when i visit whatismyip.com it shows my computer's real public IP not proxy IP. Though i know all requests from office goes thru proxy server. So can i click google ads (freshvisit.blogspot.com)from all computers in my office ? Will it be counted as invalid/fraud cliks by google adsense ????

Please help me solve my query, thanks in advance..

it should be 1 internet = 1 ip, depending on your companys internet connection. Be careful -- Google can catch this click fraud with ease.

Google takes into account more than just your ip.

They can see that the same computer is going to the site directly and after 1 second clicking on an ad....it's obviously fraud!

    Don't do it!

don't ever try it, sometimes even you try with difference IP, google still can located your position of click. Moreover, if there are too much click from your country you will get a cheap ads. (This rule for certain country only, because there are too much click fraud from that country).

p.s - why you want to click your own ads? Read google TOS again plz.

Aye, they aren't stupid you know. They know all the tricks in the book - internet cafes, proxies, dynamic IP ranges - the works. They also have this annoying habit of letting you think you've gotten away with it for a few weeks and then banning you just before you reach the magic $100 figure.

Don't try to cheat google. Google is too smart not to realize when about a click fraud. Or... why not? Try and you'll see :)

You'll make very little money this way - your hourly rate is likely to be higher flipping burgers at McD.

He is not afraid of clickfraud as he is simply trying to do clickfraud and hope google dont catch him.

If you read the query you would see him asking how to try and fool google into thinking clicks from several different computers in his workplace wouldn't trigger invalid clicks.

Eh, I read the entire post but I just suggested him to better try to be fair. Adlogger could prevent him to click his own ads too ;)

If you did that it would be click fraud wouldn't it.

What you want to know is can you do it and get away with it.

A person can shoplift and get away with it. But that doesn't make it right. Would you like it if someone came to your house or your place of business and stole from you?

Because that's what click fraud is. Stealing money from someone else.

    Don't do it.

My advice too: don't click your own ads coz' they are not yours. They are not served to you but are free served to the visitors of your site.
