Across social networking sites, i see lots of flash embedded objects like glitter effects and led scrollers to name a couple. I have no experience with flash and feel it would be too much to learn in my busy schedule. I heard from a developer about Adobe Flex and how it creates flash objects without having to learn flash. Does anyone have experience with Flex that can back his statement up? I'm interested in adding these sort of plugable flash objects to my site and if in fact they can be created with Flex and relatively easy, i would go through the effort of setting it up. Thanks.
flex allows you to create advanced classes and functions and the content presentation maybe the same for the end user but behind the scene flash and flex are both powerfull applications that can help you almost accomplish the same result. flex is mostly use for desktop use (google AIR)
I believe you do the front end yourself with flash and integrate it with the backend with flex. I'm not an expert on the subject, so somebody feel free to prove me wrong.
