Question about expired domains

    I understand that you lose PR on google when u buy an expired domain-- but if the site is listed in the yahoo directory and DMOZ can you still keep those listings?

    I would guess it depends on whether anyone is still linking to those domain names.

    I've bought some expired domains which PR and then they got lost in the next updates. ;)

    that is correct bornagaintrader.

    google wipes out the back links. (adn the pr). If no left in limbo to long neither msn or yahoo seem to notice much as far as backlinks go.

    does that mean that dmoz and yahoo directory will not check to see if the original site is still there?
