i want to write a eBook for my niche, but im kind of concerned when it comes to the eBook title

i already have a name picked out, lets say for an example, the title is

    "The Gurus Guide"

lets say that theres another book on the same niche with the title "The Guru's Guide" where the guys internet alias is "The Guru"

would i be in any legal trouble if i named the eBook "The Gurus Guide"?

See if it's trademarked. I doubt it is, 'the guru' is a really vague phrase.

If it's not trademarked and it's just a few words I wouldn't care too much.

Why would you want to write a book that has a title that is the same as another book in the same field? You are setting yourself up for problems. Even if the name is not trademarked and even if it is quite generic, you could still be liable for creating confusion. Take a look at:

Trademark Infringement - The Likelihood of Confusion

What I would recommend is trying to come up with a title that is unique to you. You want to brand your book and not have it confused with the work of another.

    Good luck.
