Question about Download Accelerator Plus (DAP)

Hello,

I have a question about Download Accelerator Plus...
When i download files using DAP, i get a maxmimum speed of only 30kbps..
But, my frnd who has the same connection gets a speed of around 200kbps...

Is thr something that i should do to get that speed ?

I think the server from which you are downloading may be slow

 

No... 30kbps is the maximum speed i'm getting for any download...

 

then are you sure that your friend has a same speed connection and connection from the same company

 

There are 2 different things
one is 200Kbps and other is 200KBps their meanings are different. Try to ask your friend what does he mean.

in 200Kbps you will speeds of download = 25KB per second and you will be able to download 1Mb of file in 40 second or less.

While in second case your download speed is 200KB per second i.e. you will be able to download the 1Mb file in 5 seconds.

Try to ask your friend what he is saying.

 

mkae sure your firewall isnt blocking any ports.
Because windows firewall and firewalls softwares tend to only half open the port slowing the DL speeds.

 

sounds like you have a Dataone Unlimited plan while your friend has some other plan
If that's the case, it cant be helped, the speed is limited to that on the unlimited plan

 

then that means in your region thats the highest u can get.
