Hi, I am pretty new to this. I wanted to get an idea about domain parking. What are the good companies to go with?

    What should I expect ?

    How often do they pay?

What is the pay based on ?

Lets say I have 100 domains parked .. and they are descent domain names nothing special maybe like misspellings of popular sites or just have descent keywords in them, what kind of income can that generate ? and ball park figure maybe...

Is there anyone here that has this many or more domains that are parked and if so how much are you making doing this ?

You can start with my favorites in my sig. I suggest moving them around from place to place. Some names do better at one place than they may at another. There are lots of people with loads of names. Most people don't talk figures but there are individuals making tens of millions of dollars a year just from parking revenue.

It's all about traffic, and how much you make is dependent on the traffic your domains receive. You earn money when people click the ads on your site, and you also earn money for CPM (small amount of money based on 1000 ads displayed).

You can make good money parking with the right domains. Some domains I have make 2K+ a year while others make a little more then the registration renewal fee. I have a few that are "duds" which are extremely hard to optimize.

I use the parking company in my signature, as they have paid me more then popular ones like sedo, godaddy, etc. They have less requirements to be approved as well. And if you have PayPal, they will pay you twice monthly so long as your account earns $50 or more each pay period.

If your domains have traffic, then park them until you develop the domains. The extra money is nice.

Yeah there's no real way to determine how much you'll make. As snowbird said it all about traffic. Targeting high dollar keywords does increase your odds. IE casino, Loans, etc As I said names will perform differently at various parking places. You'll need to test your names at several for a period of time. Determine where they do best and park each name at that particular co.

I think Parked has better name recognition in the domain parking community. Their approval standards are higher then others, but that is for a good reason.

If you traffic is mostly from english countries, then most any domain parking company will do. Testing, as JMJ noted is highly advisable. That's how I found my preferred parking company, and I wrote an article on domain name parking which explains this.

http://www.ohashi.info/domain_parking - that should answer most if not all of your questions about which companies pay when, rev share, etc. As far as how much you will make, you need traffic. If anyone could just make money without doing anything, wouldn't everyone be doing it?
