Hi there My question is, when you submit a free link submission (without reciprocal link), it says it may take some time to submit the link - in your experience(s), how long has it usually taken? Weeks, months? Some of the directories are kind enough to say 6 months for example, but some just say it will take some time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I treat free directory submission as "set it and forget it" activity. Just keep submitting, say 10 per day, everyday and only to those who don't have like "9,000 pending links."
Some paid directory submission is approved within 1 or 2 week and less than 1 week. But i want to know what is approved directory submission? Thanks
I need reliable directory to submit link but i cant find from google searching its hard to find any directory as niche. Thanks
Some time they take lots of time and some time instant approval. its depend on directory owner, for this we have to find instant approval free directories.
Nowadays, it's really hard to get a high quality directory submission sites. Usually a free submission sites took almost 6 months before it can be approved. And there are few instant approval directory submission.
It really depends on the directory, if the directory have enough active editor/moderator, then it can be approved within few days, some might take months and some even take years such as dmoz
If you are submitting to a brand-new directory, for example, one announced in the "Solicitations & Announcements" section of the DP forums, it is usually pretty fast, often within a day. If you are submitting to an older directory, which might have a backlog of submissions the administrator has to work through, it might take up to a month. Some of the real old ones, like DMOZ, might take a year. For one like this, submit and forget about it. There is no point checking back every day to see if it shows up; you are just stressing yourself out for no good reason.
its depend on webmaster..but dont submit 0 page rank website, that can be harm .. because of Google penguin or panda
How long is a piece of string? In our experience (going back to 2002), it varies from directory to directory and also varies for the same directory from time to time. As others have mentioned above, a particular directory might be back-logged with many pending submissions so it could take longer for the owner/editor to review and approve your link. On the other hand, if there is a team of editors handling reviews or if a directory has low submission volumes, your listing might get approved faster. Then again, some directory owners might have given up on reviewing submissions altogether so your listing could potentially never come through. There are all sorts of possibilities on this. The best you can after submitting is to keep checking your e-mail periodically - most directories will send you an email once your submission has been reviewed. In addition to this, your http access logs could also be useful to track some of the listings. If you're too keen on tracking, you could set google alerts on the pages where you've submitted your site. We have developed some proprietary tools and methods to track submissions (because we deal with a huge number of submissions) and over the years, we routinely find some listings getting approved within less than a day from submission while there are many that simply never come through.
