I want to submit my blog directory to directorycritic, and it says you must give Directory Critic a featured listing before submitting. Ok, no problem. But I'm curious is this something recent? Because I notice there are a lot of listings that haven't given them a featured or even any listing. In fact, in looking at the blog directory list, I have only found one directory that has directory critic listed in their directory.
as far as i know it always asked for a backlink, but i dont think featured was required .. anyways .. directorycritic is a great site to promote your directory imo.
Ok, thanks for the info biodev. I will probably just give them a featured listing like they ask for, because I think you are correct, it's a great place to be listed.
Oh, that's news. I have a directory here, even I didn't submit to them. I thought they collect the list by themselves.
As far as I remember it use to be that you can send them a directory without a link, then they added a regular link, and not featured . You can also submit you directory here no link back required
Its a great place to get additional backlinks from. They have an automated script to find their link on your web page somewhere. no mention of featured.
He He they'll want a sitewide next I last submitted there in April and it wasn't required, but it's fair enough and worth submitting, you get a good site in your directory so no losers
Back then they were totally free. I still have 2 of mine got for free. Early birds always get some link juice
They require a listing from niche directories that don't have any appropriate categories too. Thanks, but no thanks.
It must be new because I submitted I directory recently (~5 days) and only asked for a regular link. I would prefer to buy a listing from them then to give them a featured listing.
Yeah I'd prefer to buy than give them any listing, cause I'm partial to that one-way juice. Anyway, I gave them what they wanted and I'm already listed there.
It used to be entirely free to submit. They've obviously changed the criteria to reflect their growing popularity. This must be why some of their niche categories are quite sparse.
