Question about direct linking?

    How do you direct link to the merchant's landing page for article marketing purpose?

    I want to test-promote some new products, but I can't be bothered with the hassle of creating landing pages for each of them just yet until I see how well they convert.

    I have never done any form of direct link/redirect; have always used a landing page.

    So I would appreciate if anyone would care to fill me in on how redirecting for article marking is done, and the different methods that are accepted by Ezine?

    You have to redirect your top level domain name. like domain.com

    You can set it up in your cpanel. or you can use a php redirect.

    php is easy. Just open up notepad.

    <?php
    header( 'Location: http://www.yoursite.com/new_page.html' ) ;
    ?>

    Change the url to the affiliate link. Save as index.php and upload it to your domain.

    If you read EzineArticles.com's editorial guidelines, this is what's mentioned:

    So any free hosting service you guys could recommend that meet Ezines criteria (don’t really know anything about html and website building, I have only been using a Wordpress blog and Blogspot for landing page)?

    You can't redirect from free websites.

    If you don't have that much to spend, just get a .info domain.

    $1.19 at GoDaddy.

    I think you can just forward your domain to your affiliate link in GoDaddy under your domain management, no hosting costs at all then. Also you can choose to mask it as well if you want, which means the redirect will still show your domain name.

    Have not done this personally, but I think I read it in one of NCMedias posts.
