question about direct linking with adwords

I used to use adwords to link directly to affiliate products. Since they now require you to have the same destination url as the display url, i have not figured out how to link directly, if it is at all still possible. I know that i can create my own page on my own domain and direct people to the products that way but i prefer to send them directly to the advertisers site.

Does anyone know of a way to still do direct linking to affiliate products with Adwords?

    Thanks.

When you go to the page for the advertiser's product, copy the link until after ".com" and put it in the Display URL. Then use the link that the advertiser gives you in the destination, which should be weird looking.

the problem with doing it this way is that the advertisers link from their product will have their domain name which i can't use as the display url since they, themselves will be using it in their adwords campaigns. for example, if i'm selling Amazon.com products, i can't use Amazon.com as the display url.

If i'm missing something here, please let me know.
