No, it's not OK. You'll just make Shawn more money, and he's rich enough already!!!

There are plenty of people making a good amount of money using Adsense. Don't blame it on Google.

This is basically fraud. Google will ban anyone they feel is participating. Don't worry though Shawn would deactivate revenue sharing before he allowed DP to be use for these purposes.

Still, why click the ads unless they do actually interest you?

Right, thanks guys I think I understand the purpose of such adds now. I certainly wouldnt click adds if they did not interest me.
However from reading your comments, it seems that google is being slightly unethical when it comes to allowing some people (DP) to generate a renenue sharing forum in this way.

Mate.. its not google who pays you money. Its us, advertisers who pay you the money through adsense.
If you click on ads only to take advantage of adsense system, you are stealing money from your fellow webmasters, not google. Thus you are not 'actually' helping your fellow members.

Two more people like you on DP and I'll stop running my campaign on DP.

And I am sure than no one could exploit this

as if you are getting too many clicks from a site in a short span of time ,Google will be surely watching you and will ban you!

All I can say on this matter is that DP is not violating any rules from what I can gather. However how does it share its renenue exactly?

    Well, it works as follows:
    - User types their AdSense pub-ID into their User CP.
    - Ads using their pub-ID are displayed 50% of the time on threads they start.
    - Any clicks on their thread during the lucky 50% of the time their ads are shown they get the revenue.
    Pretty straightforward really.

This is outrageous; I have just received an email stating ‘You have received a warning at Digital Point Forums’ for posting in the wrong section. How is this possible, who have I got this off and for what exact reasons. I find it scandalous that DP is such a totalitarian forum where people are warned for making a general mistake, why not let them know their mistake so it can be rectified. Also I’m not sympathetic to being called ‘You're a scumbag’. How immature?

Someone please help me sort this out.

Hey, there is no need to be nasty about it, this issue has been resolved with DP now and the misunderstanding has been resolved. I would like to ask people to stop posting here because it is a very confused thread which was a mistake. Thank you.
