I have registered some co.uk domains from cheapest.co.uk. I want to renew it altest 5 years. But they offering only 2 year time for their domains. Can I renew these domains after 2 years with them? or they will give it out to someone else? Thanks for your suggestion in advance.
Mmm... cheapest.co.uk shows up as a parked domain or some sort of directory for me, unless you have put the wrong url as your register?
As an original holder, you should always get the first and preferred chance to have them renewed... so I guess, you should be comfortably able to renew after two years as well. Regards, RightMan
A .co.uk domain can only be registered for 2 years - this is a Nominet ruling. However, you can renew it up to 6 months before the expiry date. Your registrar won't remind you this early, however, so you'd need to monitor the date yourself. You also have a bit of grace after the expiry date before you lose the domain.
Don't worry about it at the moment you will be able top renew closer to the renew date for another 2 years.
