I want to know how to cite research when writing a blog post or article on a website. I am trying to create a micro-niche site to promote affiliate products. I want to write some articles to give my site content. But I want to make sure I don't break any laws like plagiarism, copywrite, etc. If I research information and find some from another source (blog post, article, website, etc.) and use it to help write something like an article or blog post how do I give credit without legal trouble? Do I just put citations in the bottom or do I need to have permission from the owner of the source? Are there any tools or websites I should know about to learn more about this? I couldn't find what I needed online but thought I'd be better off just asking real people who have done this before. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.
Here is a link for you to read. The "Fair Use" section covers what you are interested in, for the most part: https://smallbusiness.findlaw.com/business-operations/is-it-ok-to-copy-material-from-a-website.html
