Question About changeing domain name

Hi, basically I have a blog with the domain name useing the standard .blogspot.com
I have thousands of backlinks to this domain however i wanted to buy my own .com domain.

Does this mean I would have to change all the backlinks to mynewdomain.com and would my sites page rank go back to 0?
