question about backlinks

    i want to know what is better in backlinks:

    1- make comments in forums and blogs
    2- or publish articles in article directories and put my link in resource box

    1 is easier and i can make alot of it than number 2 which need to alot of efforts

    so which is better if i want alot of good backlinks

    1.blogs commenting is good, especially if you can find one with high PR, high traffic and do-follow
    2.articles also good, since most of atuto-generated-site usually took the articles from articles directories, and that makes your articles taken too, and you will get a lot of backlinks from the site that use your articles.

    so,
    1. one post one backlink
    2. one post could be thousand of backlinks

    couldn't understand
    when i publish article in ezine for example
    what is the auto generated sites that took my article? why they took the article?
    and how they took my backlink and make it thousands?

    nowdays, there are tons of webmaster using 'robot' to get content from other sources, such as ezine, and post them in their website. And all that in automatic fashion.
    so let say you publish your articles. And 100 of the autoblogs post your articles to their blogs, you will get 100 backlinks, correct?

    Yes I agree. In a simple word you should attain them both consistently. But maintain the quality of that site which you're going to linked with.

    I agree with ramie242. If you have a link in the comments section of a PR9 website. It is going to carry way more link juice than if you had your link in a PR3 article directory.

    it depends on the site quality. personally i will suggest go for both if there are quality site
    By the way, compare the blog comment and article submission, article submission is better on generating targeted traffic
