Question about backlinks: good or bad (please read)

    Ok, this was asked not long ago (just saw someone ask the other day) but i cant find the thread...so im asking myself


    I have a forums account with over 6000 posts (and another with over 12000). If i take that account, and put a link in the sig to one of my articles/sites, that will create an instant 6000+ backlinks on over 3000 different pages within the forum (if not more)

    Will google look at that and consider it bad and blacklist me? cause thats a -lot- of backlinks instantly coming at the same time...

    if so, is it just because of the amount of backlinks alltogether, or just that theres so many coming from a single domain?

    tough call...I would test it first. Thats the only way to find out for sure.

    It will be ok dude. Google will count it as multiple backlinks from the same ip. If 12000 links from different IPs would point to you in the same time, maybe this would be a problem.

    PS: use my sig links as a test and see the result :D

    jus twondering, cause i tried it out, and about a month later my views for what i linked to dropped from 70 a day to 20...

    it was originallya round 20 then suddenly got a spike for a while, it coulda just been a fluke iwth a release of a product in its niche though 8shrugs*
