Question about Article Submission sites

I'm trying to get a few more article submitted again and so I tried out articlebase dot com.
Actually a nice and userfriendly PR6 site but....
...After the article finally was approved and published I noticed all the links to my site in the article AND in the resource box were tagged with the nofollow tag.
Is this common now that the higher PR article submission sites are nofollow too? Are they following the blogs, which are to 90%+ nofollow?
I guess it's getting harder and harder trying to build quality one way backlinks if even article marketing gets useless for that reason. Wondering when Ezinearticle will start to tag the links with nofollow too.
    Cheers

This is not a common anyway. Most of authoritative article directory, including Ezinearticles.com will not tag a link with nofollow. They have a restrict moderation on article quality so only ones will be published, that's why they do not care on given links to the site attached along with quality contents.

I would recommend you switch the place to submit next time. Quality is over quantity anyways. You do not have to submit one article to a thousands no name article directory just to get links, only one article with one excellent article directory is enough.

First of all thanks for your response. I always enjoy reading your posts and advices.
I agree, it's not the quantity of how many articles are published and that's also the reason why we write all articles with our own words instead of spinning articles. Actually I shouldn't say we since my wife does all the writing. I'm not native english speaking so it's a bit harder on me to write a good and quality article. But even she takes her time and it takes her about 3-4 hours to write an about 700+ words article.
I was just kind of surprised articlebase was adding the nofollow tag since you can find them on any list of recommended article submission sites and they have a PR6.
My main source to submit articles probably will Ezinearticles dot com and gather dot com.
I was just wondering if other users noticed any changes in article marketing concerning their links in articles got tagged nofollow. If I can recall it right, so I think articlebase used not to be nofollow but I might be wrong.

    Once again thanks Sxperm

I believe Article Base makes any anchor text link no-follow while any direct URL is followed.

I could be wrong, but that's how some of my older articles show up in their system. Although I don't use Article Base much any more, it's a good site although I'd put it in the second tier of article sites below Ezine and Buzzle.
