Guys, I have a question about article submission and social bookmarking.. Well the goal of this is to rank the articles higher in SEs I can submit an article to about 20+ article directories and then bookmark it with 100+ social bookmarks. If I want to achieve the above goal, what should I do? 1. Instead of submitting to 20+ directories, submit to ezinearticles (or any other directory) and bookmark it with all the 100+ BMs 2. Spread the bookmarks evenly for every article directory 3. Any other strategy you recommend?? Please post your inputs
You can only get unique/distinct articles to rank more or less reliably. Google is likely to consider the other articles duplicate content and put them in supplementary results (you can work around this a bit by giving each version a unique title, but it only helps marginally). So submitting the same article to different directories only yields quickly diminishing returns. For these reasons, I think your strategy 1 works best.
PhilipSEO, thank you so much for your valuable answer. Yes, I also think the same, but just wanted to ask from experts and confirm Such a valuable advice!
I always recommend sticking with unique content, no matter what. I think that duplicate content does not really help you, even if you are building the amount of links you have. What's that saying about link building...quality over quantity.
Unique content all the way. If you havent got enough unique content to write then consider attacking a niche you are interested in and have alot to write about it.
Submit one article to one directory but you can use the same article with 100+ bookmarking sites. best of luck.
Thanks guys for all your inputs. I'll do that way. Now, say if I submit this article to EzineArticle. If I were to RSS it, what is the usual RSS feed address? (I'm not referring to the authors address; this is purely for the article.) Also, anyone's inputs on RSS submitting an article?
